1977 RV ****
Models 340
By 1977 the 250 engine had been dropped along with the T'NT designation. The 77 RV was the first production Ski-Doo to utilize twin expansion chambers. This required a higher hood line to clear the new pipes.

The T'NT Free Air was back in the lineup after a years absence, but it was a dramatically different machine. The aluminum frame from the 73-75 machines was gone, replaced with an all-steel unit shared with the fan cooled T'NTs. They were a very good looking sled, with excellent fit and finish however with the RV filling the role as the high performance trail machine, the T'NT F/A was without a purpose. The piston port twins were fed by a single 34 mm Mikuni and performance was uninspiring compared to the RV. A good friend of mine owned a 440 and it was plagued with some serious engine problems requiring a significant upgrade kit from Bombardier. The 440 was dropped from the line in 1978.
