1975 T'NT 245RV *****
After sitting out the '73-74 racing season, Bombardier found themselves behind the other manufacturers. Their main competition Arctic Cat and Polaris had made substantial gains, both in technology and marketing exposure with their Sno-Pro racing programs, and Mercury Marine with their Sno-Twisters ruled the stock classes once owned by Ski-Doo.
The engineers in Valcourt however weren't idle while all this was going on, they were building what was to be one of their most exciting machines. The T'NT 245 RV and its sister the Moto-Ski Sonic would take the stock racing world by storm.
The little RV debuted one of Ski-Doo's most successful chassis which culminated with the liquid cooled 1979 Blizzard 7500 Plus. The 245 RV was a beautiful sled, low and wide, and incredibly light. Its duels with the 250 El Tigre were legendary. I raced a 245 in super mod classes in the winter of 75-76.

It was a pleasure hearing from Dave Ruder. Dave's a serious 245RV fanatic! Here are pictures of his very pretty '75 super mod. Dave was unbeatable on this little jewel.

I'm often asked which of the sleds shown on this site are the most "valuable". From a collectors perspective, the '75 RV is near the top of the list.

Same as the '74 but with a new look hood. The only significant change for '75 was the replacement of the aging '73 slide suspension with the new Torque Reaction Slide Suspension which was used in most of their machines for the decade to follow. The suspension in the '73 and '74 wasn't much for travel, and had a tendency to fail at the rear spring adjuster connection points.
